A trip in Hong Kong wouldn’t be complete if you don’t take a side trip in Macau. During our Hong Kong trip, me and my friends decided to insert Macau in our Itinerary and give the Las Vegas of Asia a shot! Macau is known as the Casino Island in south coast of China where a number of tourists have fun and gamble all day long. Albeit the said city is known for wasting money, we sure did survive with a few Hong Kong dollars in our pockets and a pocket full of memories.
Our Macau trip is definitely one for the books – from endlessly walking (while wearing boots. I wore boots. Stupid Miel) because we keep missing the bus, eating A LOT of free foods in Senado Square going to the Ruins of St. Paul, Casino/Hotel hopping, taking a million photos because Macau is just way too pretty to pass a shutter click and laughing so hard for no apparent reason every chance we get (do casino’s spray laughing gas in the atmosphere?). Yep! Macau is probably the highlight of our trip.
Shamelessly, we took over 530 photos in Macau and just by looking at my photos right now they are all self portraits and OOTD’s. How tourist-y can we get? If that’s the case, I’m going to spill the tea! Upon arriving in Macau, we headed straight to Fisherman’s wharf and took photos for a solid hour. Come to think of it, we realized we wasted our time in that area. Basically, everything we did in Macau is hunt for Instagrammable places, go to tourist spots, visit different casinos and avail the free foods in every corner of the city but failed to take photos because we were laughing the whole time (which now makes sense that I don’t recall what we are laughing about. Crazy). I’d like to write more of our crazy shenanigans in this blog but, what happens in Macau, will forever stay in Macau… and our memories.
Ciao, Macau :-*
