Never in my mind my Mom would insert this day tour of the Niagara Falls (America border) in our itinerary. Basically, we made a 3 day tour on this part of the state since my Aunt suggested we should see other cities while in America. She didn’t want us to stay that long in New York City for some reason – she said it can be toxic and overwhelming. And it was half true! Since we are just 6 hours away from the Majestic Falls, why not see and experience it for ourselves? By the way, my Mom was really giddy on riding the boat near the falls.
Niagara Falls is the collective name for three waterfalls that straddle the international border between Canada and the United States; more specifically, between the province of Ontario and the state of New York. They form the southern end of the Niagara Gorge. From largest to smallest, the three waterfalls are the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. The Horseshoe Falls lie mostly on the Canadian side and the American Falls entirely on the American side, separated by Goat Island. The smaller Bridal Veil Falls are also on the American side, separated from the other waterfalls by Luna Island.
The international boundary line was originally drawn through Horseshoe Falls in 1819, but the boundary has long been in dispute due to natural erosion and construction. Located on the Niagara River, which drains Lake Erie into Lake Ontario, the combined falls form the highest flow rate of any waterfall in the world that has a vertical drop of more than 165 feet. Horseshoe Falls is the most powerful waterfall in North America, as measured by vertical height and flow rate. The falls are 17 miles north-northwest of Buffalo, New York, and 75 miles south-southeast of Toronto, between the twin cities of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Niagara Falls, New York.
Perks of window seats.
The bridge connecting USA to Canada. Too bad we didn’t applied for Canadian Visa since the agency offers a 5 day tour including Canada.
The Majestic Water falls. Ahh! I can still imagine it’s mist touching my face.
Hello there Canada!
The boat ride we took to see up close the falls.
Candid photo prepping for an artsy shot.
Since we finished the boat ride quite fast and still have time to spare, I found this little corner of garden filled with I assume Cherry Blossoms (?) i don’t know but they look like the latter so why not? So I took the opportunity to snap photos whilst directing my mom the angles and shizz. Some photos were fine though. SOME. Haha! Love you Mom. 😉
Probably the best back shot taken by my Mom. Not complaining though! And no sarcsam included. LOL
Imagine this tree filled with ornaments! I can already feel christmas coming our way! Like a kid I immediately asked my mom to take more photos of me with the tree. It’s been my dream to have this tree as a christmas decor in our house but Philippine weather won’t approve so… Haha! Thank you for reading. Have a great week end ahead. 🙂
