White sand, clear sky, cerulean sea, boats sailing, waves kissing the shore and a picturesque view of the beach’s horizon. Cliché as it may sound Boracay is one of the summer destination in the Philippines.
It was my first time to be in the Island and there’s no doubt why people keep coming back to the latter. So on our very early arrival (rain poured for an hour thus looming clouds in the mountains sky) we strolled around the beach and talked about the agenda for the day. Our first day was dedicated to shopping, strolling, eating (of course) and hibernating.
First things first, we searched for a place to munch in. I suggest you avoid eating in the local restos (after all, they’re just around the city) and try their shop & cook that we found in the outskirts of Boracay. It’s when you bring your shopped crustacean goodies and they’ll cook it for you (Wow! That’s all what you’ve got to explain Miel? Just wow. Hahaha). Seriously though, they cook the best butter and garlic shrimps. It was beyond perfection that I finished almost all the quarter kilo of it. No kidding! Every piece of it was just heavenly. Aside from the said latter, we also ordered Lapu-lapu, Pusit and Sweet & Sour Fish. Btw, we ate at Sabadi Boracay.
After we satisfied our stomachs we then headed to Bora’s local shops. You can’t leave the Island without buying souvenirs and pasalubongs right? Lastly, we headed back to the Hotel to rest. I even missed the sunset of the Island. But don’t fret, on our 2nd day I managed to capture the sun’s magnificent exit on the horizon. That was pretty much it, the main highlight of the day was the Food! So before i’ll make this even longer, i’ll leave you with these photos.
